The storekeeper is saddled with the responsibilities of coordinating activities within the store, accurate documentation/filling of receivables/issuance, preventing delays in operation and avoiding stock shortages.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the inspecting, confirmation and accurate documentation of received stocks.


• Ensure organized store arrangements and maintain an efficient labeling system.


• Ensure proper material handling to avoid damage or contamination.


• Manages stock rotation to prevent obsolescence (FIFO/FEFO methods).


• Timely processing of requisitions from production departments and handling production returns.


• Organize the staging of goods for dispatch based on sales orders and shipment schedules and ensure all shipping documents are correct (Packing list, Invoices and Waybill).


• Conduct regular cycle counts and reconciles physical inventory with system records to ensure inventory accuracy.


• Maintains accurate records of stock movement, and timely updates of local reports with movement traceability forms.


• Monitor stock levels and communicate reorder requests when necessary.


• Adhere to all company safety protocols and maintain a clean/organized work environment.


• Suggest improvements to enhance storage efficiency and accuracy.

Educational Qualifications, Experience & Requirements

• HND/OND Degree in Accounting, Finance and Economics and other related field.


• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing or factory environment.


• Maintain data integrity


• GRN {goods receive note} creation.


• Replenishment & stock level cycle


• Capture problem solving documentation


• Achieve optimal reporting capability 


• Proficiency in using inventory management software and ERP systems.


• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.


• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
