Job Summary

• We seek an experienced Senior Maintenance Generator Technician to lead the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of generators, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and safety. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation, maintenance, and repair of generators and associated electrical systems

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure proper and scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance of all generator sets.


• Render assistance to other maintenance personnel.


• Prompt response to all generator faults, diagnose and resolve power outage emergencies.


• Good records of repairs and pre-maintenance performed on the generating sets.


• Inspect power plant and panel indicators to ensure optimal operation of generator set


• & documentation of maintenance parameters for plant improvement.


• Daily assessment of generator vitals such as coolant level, oil level, batteries & fuel systems.


• Swift response to power-generating faults & related equipment and other maintenance Tasks.


• Provide routine inspection and ensure optimal performance of all generator sets.


• Diagnose faults & resolve power panel circuit breaker faults, unclogging fuel pump lines, and other technical faults.


• Ensure the generator house is always illuminated.


• Ensure good housekeeping and cleanliness of the generator house, diesel storage chamber, and all electrical rooms.


• Work from multiple locations, when required.


• Perform ad hoc duties as may be required from time to time

Qualification and Skills

• 5+ years of experience in generator maintenance and repair


• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, generator controls and switchgear


• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills


• Ability to work with heavy equipment and in confined spaces


• Valid driver’s license


• Experience with generator tropes ( diesel, and gas)


• Knowledge of electrical distribution system


• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/ Mechanical engineering or related fields.
