Job Description

• Our client is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to serve as the Head of Business in Umuahia.


• This role is critical for building and scaling the business, ensuring operational excellence, and driving growth.


• Reporting directly to the CEO, the Head of Business will lead teams, manage resources, and oversee market expansion initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Business Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth, revenue, and profitability.


• Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team to achieve business objectives while fostering professional growth.


• Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations, optimizing processes and resources for efficiency.


• Market Expansion: Identify and pursue opportunities for growth in Umuahia and surrounding regions.


• Financial Management: Manage budgets, ensuring sustainable financial performance and profitability.


• Community Engagement: Build relationships with stakeholders, partners, and the local community to strengthen brand presence.


• Sales and Marketing: Lead sales and marketing initiatives to effectively promote products and services in the local market.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Technology, or related fields; MBA or advanced degree preferred.


• Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role, preferably within the insurance or insurtech industry, with a track record of building and scaling businesses.


• Strong business acumen with an understanding of technology, insurance products, and the circular economy.


• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.


• Passion for driving impact, sustainability, and innovation in a startup environment.
