Employee’s Duties & Responsibilities
Clinical Service Delivery
- Provide high-quality medical care to patients, offering clinical expertise in diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of conditions.
- Take on supervisory responsibilities, overseeing junior doctors and medical students in the delivery of care.
- Participate in outpatient clinics, inpatient rounds, and on-call duties, ensuring continuity of care for all patients.
- Lead and contribute to multidisciplinary teams, coordinating patient care with other healthcare professionals.
- Assist in clinical research projects, contributing to the improvement of patient care and medical knowledge.
- Take part in clinical audits, peer reviews, and case presentations to enhance professional development and clinical governance.
- Participate in clinical teaching and training activities for junior doctors and medical students.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Uphold professional standards, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and guidelines.
- Provide support in policy-making and contribute to the development of protocols that enhance patient care and safety.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- The job holder must have a license to practice medicine from the Nigerian Medical and Dental Association.
- He or She must have the primaries qualification in Family Medicine.
- 2-3 years cognate years’ experience as a Family Medicine Registrar.
- Knowledge of FamilyMedicine and other areas of medical practice such as Pediatrics & Obstetrics & Gynecology, Surgery, Ophthalmology and so on.
- The job holder must have good communication skills, a strong ability to work well under extreme pressure, self-discipline and excellent long-term concentration.
