Job Description:

Employee’s Duties & Responsibilities

Clinical Service Delivery

1. Provide high-quality medical care to patients, offering clinical expertise in diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of conditions.


2. Take on supervisory responsibilities, overseeing junior doctors and medical students in the delivery of care.


3. Participate in outpatient clinics, inpatient rounds, and on-call duties, ensuring continuity of care for all patients.


4. Lead and contribute to multidisciplinary teams, coordinating patient care with other healthcare professionals.


5. Assist in clinical research projects, contributing to the improvement of patient care and medical knowledge.


6. Take part in clinical audits, peer reviews, and case presentations to enhance professional development and clinical governance.


7. Participate in clinical teaching and training activities for junior doctors and medical students.


8. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is completed in a timely and accurate manner.


9. Uphold professional standards, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and guidelines.


10. Provide support in policy-making and contribute to the development of protocols that enhance patient care and safety.

Required Skills & Qualifications

1. The job holder must have a license to practice medicine from the Nigerian Medical and Dental Association.


2. He or She must have the primaries qualification in Family Medicine.


3. 2-3 years cognate years’ experience as a Family Medicine Registrar.


4. Knowledge of FamilyMedicine and other areas of medical practice such as Pediatrics & Obstetrics & Gynecology, Surgery, Ophthalmology and so on.


5. The job holder must have good communication skills, a strong ability to work well under extreme pressure, self-discipline and excellent long-term concentration.
