Job Responsibilities

• Ensuring patients are comfortable, explaining procedures and positioning patients and equipment correctly.


• Collect blood or tissue samples from patients, observing principles of asepsis to obtain blood samples.


• Executes a range of standardized microscopic, chemical and bacteriological tests.


• Makes sure that the testing method used follows established quality control procedure and assists with the preparation of laboratory reports.


• Maintaining, calibrating, cleaning and testing the sterility of equipment


• Perform quality control, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting protocols to ensure the proper functioning of instruments, reagents, procedures, etc.


• Assess the validity of results obtained, preserves proper records of the results and makes a report of results.


• Organizes and maintains reagents and equipment.


• Perform maintenance on equipment in the laboratory and keeps laboratory in a clean and organized condition.

Job Qualifications

• Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science


• 3-5 years relevant post-NYSC working experience in a similar role


• Must be registered with a practicing license.


• Must be experienced in Hematology, Chemical Pathology and Microbiology.

Job Requirements:

• Must be able to work with minimum supervision.


• Knowledge in the handling of laboratory equipment.


• Knowledge in the use of Standard Operating Procedures in the field.
