Ensuring patients are comfortable, explaining procedures and positioning patients and equipment correctly.
Collect blood or tissue samples from patients, observing principles of asepsis to obtain blood samples.
Executes a range of standardized microscopic, chemical and bacteriological tests.
Makes sure that the testing method used follows established quality control procedure and assists with the preparation of laboratory reports.
Maintaining, calibrating, cleaning and testing the sterility of equipment
Perform quality control, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting protocols to ensure the proper functioning of instruments, reagents, procedures, etc.
Assess the validity of results obtained, preserves proper records of the results and makes a report of results.
Organizes and maintains reagents and equipment.
Perform maintenance on equipment in the laboratory and keeps laboratory in a clean and organized condition.
Job Qualifications
Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science
3-5 years relevant post-NYSC working experience in a similar role
Must be registered with a practicing license.
Must be experienced in Hematology, Chemical Pathology and Microbiology.
Job Requirements:
Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
Knowledge in the handling of laboratory equipment.
Knowledge in the use of Standard Operating Procedures in the field.
