Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated NYSC Corps Member to join our IT Department at Mshel Homes Limited. The ideal candidate should have an understanding of software development and a passion for technology. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and contribute to the development and maintenance of our IT systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, development, and testing of software applications.
- Collaborate with senior developers to troubleshoot and resolve software issues.
- Participate in coding, debugging, and updating existing software systems.
- Provide technical support to end-users regarding software-related issues.
- Help in the maintenance and management of company websites, portals, and other digital platforms.
- Assist in creating technical documentation, user guides, and operational manuals for developed software.
- Prepare regular reports on software performance and troubleshooting activities.
- Assist in managing and maintaining the company's databases.
- Ensure data integrity and security across all platforms.
- Support the IT department with general tasks such as hardware troubleshooting and network issues.
- Assist in the setup and maintenance of company systems and software updates.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in software engineering and IT solutions.
- Assist the IT team in researching new technologies to improve operational efficiency.
Requirements:
- NYSC Corper currently serving.
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- An understanding of software development (knowledge in languages such as PHP Laravel Framework, Python, Java, or C# is an advantage).
- Basic knowledge of database management systems.
- Familiarity with web development frameworks is a plus (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Have a midlevel knowledge of frontend framework like Angular, Veu or React.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
