Job Description
PURPOSE
To oversee inventory accounting activities, ensuring accurate and up-to-date inventory reporting and financial records.
THE JOB
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and maintain inventory control systems.
- Coordinate periodic physical inventories and cycle counts.
- Analyze inventory data and recommend solutions for inventory optimization.
- Collaborate with production teams for accurate ERP bookings and cost savings tracking.
- Report monthly leakages, perform root cause analysis, and ensure safety and food safety compliance.
- Prepare product costing and profitability reports.
- Ensure the safety of self and others in the line of work.
- Ensure compliance with the Food Safety Management System by promoting the company's food safety policy, being aware of risks and opportunities, reporting issues, and effectively monitoring and operating control measures in the assigned work area.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
THE PERSON MUST
- Possess excellent knowledge of accounting principles.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software.
- Have problem-solving skills and analytical skills.
- Excellent ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Have excellent organizational and communication skills.
QUALIFICATION
- BSc/HND in accounting, finance, or related discipline.
- Professional Certification will be an added advantage.
EXPERIENCE
- At least 3 years cognate experience.
