Responsibilities
- Promote the safety awareness and application of company Management systems, COPs, and prime policies.
- Report concisely in accordance with VMS requirements with due regard to document control.
- Ensure a timely and effective closeout of the survey and relevant audit actions.
- Ensure ‘Management of Change’ procedures are applied appropriately.
- Contribute effectively to accident and incident investigation, review and reporting.
- Manage the operation of the FPSO systems at the department level through supervisors and subordinate staff.
- Ensure probationary and annual appraisals are completed fairly and consistently in a timely manner
- Manage welfare and disciplinary issues at the departmental level with an appropriate reference to OIM and Fleet HR
- Ensure full compliance with the PTW system, and Risk assessment and verification
- Ensure all first-line maintenance on the Process and Utility systems. Advise maintenance personnel on malfunction or routine maintenance of the Process equipment
- Manage Emergency Response to limit responsibility with due regard for the safety of personnel, the vessel and the environment.
Units Of Competence
- Prepare to Operate, Operate, Monitor and Shutdown integrated process systems as required.
- Contribute to the planning, organisation, monitoring, control, and evaluation of operational activities.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Contribute to control of critical situations and respond to emergencies.
- Monitor and maintain pollution control measures.
- Carry out emergency response role.
Qualifications and Experience
- HND / B.Sc Degree equivalents in an appropriate Process subject, equivalent.
- Proven experience and results-oriented career
- 2 years minimum as Production Superintendent (or shore-based equivalent) plus an appropriate period as acting/deputy production Superintendent (or shore-based equivalent).
- Experience and knowledge of hydrocarbon processing systems and utility systems.
- Supervisory experience in Permit to Work, Mechanical/Electrical Isolation Standards and Risk Assessment.

- Personal: Conscientious, flexible, versatile, and determined. Capable of assertive and positive communication and performance.
- Leadership: Exemplary safety and managerial leadership skills. Good levels of written and spoken communication in The English language. A clear understanding of personnel behavioural and team issues.
- Technical: An appropriate standard of managerial, technical, and professional knowledge defined by competencies.
