Job Summary



  • The Head of Mineral Title Management is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of mineral title acquisition, registration, and maintenance for the organization.

  • This includes ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.


Key Responsibilities



  • Develop and implement long-term strategies for mineral title management to support the organization's growth and objectives.

  • Ensure strict adherence to all mining laws, regulations, and industry standards related to mineral title acquisition, registration, and maintenance.

  • Oversee the acquisition of mineral rights through various methods, including purchase, lease, or other legal means.

  • Manage the registration of mineral titles with relevant government agencies and ensure proper documentation and record-keeping.

  • Monitor and maintain mineral title records, including renewals, transfers, and encumbrances.

  • Conduct thorough due diligence investigations on mineral properties to identify potential risks and liabilities.

  • Manage and resolve any legal disputes or conflicts related to mineral titles.

  • Lead and manage a team of mineral title professionals, providing guidance, training, and support.

  • Develop and manage the budget for mineral title management activities.

  • Build and maintain relationships with government officials, landowners, and other stakeholders involved in mineral title management.


Required Qualifications and Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in law, geology, mining engineering, or a related field.

  • Master's degree or advanced degree in a relevant field preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in mineral title management, with a proven track record of success.

  • Strong understanding of mining laws, regulations, and industry best practices.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

  • Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as land management systems and legal databases.
