Job Summary:
- The Program Manager will play a crucial role in driving the company's mission by leading fundraising efforts, managing donor relations, and overseeing impactful projects.
- The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in business development, project management, and the NGO sector, with a proven track record in fundraising and managing donor funds. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are mandatory, as it is a strong ability to build and maintain relationships with donors and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute ambitious fundraising strategies and programs with specific, measurable goals.
- Identify, cultivate, and steward prospective donors, including foundations, government agencies, corporate partners, and individuals.
- Manage and oversee grant writing and proposal development processes.
- Establish fundraising targets and monitor performance, ensuring annual fundraising goals are met or exceeded.
- Communicate directly with existing funders in coordination with program teams, maintaining and strengthening these relationships
- Identification of potential strategic partnerships, sponsorships and alliances across the public, private and third sectors
- Engagement of target sponsors, partners and collaborators to sell the company’s value proposition and broker deals that deliver mutual goals and benefits
- Sourcing for funding, donations, and grants.
- Management of program relationships and partnerships, ensuring that internal actors maximize benefits and external actors fulfil their terms of engagement
- Executing the company’s initiatives based on approved design in line with set timelines, scope and quality expectations
- Working with approved partners to scale up execution and impact at scale
- Managing communities of beneficiaries to ensure that promised value is delivered to the last mile effectively and efficiently
- Developing high quality and highly relevant thought leadership materials, program resources, books, courses, tools and other materials
- Soliciting, receiving and analyzing feedback from participants and beneficiaries
- Tracking and reporting on progress and achievement of program KPIs and targets.
- Follow up with social media & PR teams to ensure all programs and program partnerships get the right type and scale of publicity for a strong image.
- Represent the organization at local, national, and international events and partner meetings to promote the organization’s mission and impact.
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of impactful projects within the NGO.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget.
- Utilize project management tools and methodologies to track progress and report on outcomes.
- Serve as a credible and compelling spokesperson for the company’s mission, vision, and goals.
- Communicate complex information clearly and assertively to diverse audiences, including donors, stakeholders, and team members.
- Exhibit a high level of emotional and social intelligence to navigate the intricacies of donor relations and stakeholder management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- MBA or relevant Master’s degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in business development, project management, and NGO operations, with at least some experience in fundraising.
- Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing fundraising strategies.
- Strong experience in managing donor funds and reporting to stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- High level of emotional and social intelligence, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Broad understanding of innovation and the ability to grasp complex software quickly.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
