Job Description
Job Objective:
The Special Assistant will help the DG/EC achieve his business development and social network commitments to enable him deliver the set priorities and objectives for the organisation. This would entail scheduling of high-level meetings, networking events, regular public and media engagements etc.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Director General/Executive Chairman with executive assistance, and strategic relationship management
- Provide executive-level administrative support, including managing and participating in the Director General/Executive Chairman’s special commitments & external engagements, scheduling meetings, media and public engagements.
- Participate in executive level meetings with the DG/EC and support the DG/EC to build, maintain and maximise strategic networks.
- Prepare materials, minutes and action points from special meetings and strategic networking sessions attended by the Executive Chairman
- Follow through on actions and matters arising from the DG/EC’s strategic engagements.
- Manage confidential and sensitive information with the utmost discretion.
Requirements
- First degree in any relevant field of study from a reputable institution.
- 5+ years cognate experience in business development/social networking activities in both public and private space.
- Must be able to provide business development and social networking support to the DG/EC.
- Excellence communication skills (verbal and written)
- Must have a strong work ethics
- Must have the capacity to effectively communicate and engagement with top executives and personalities in the public and private space.
- Must be able to stand in for the DG in meetings and critical functions.
- Must have a strong network of highly influential personalities in the public, government and private sector.
