Job Description

• Develop and implement production strategies to optimize oil and gas production from both existing wells and newly drilled wells.


• Analyze production data using appropriate software (e.g., OFM, Prosper) to identify underperforming wells and initiate improvement plans.


• Manage and execute well interventions including well testing, artificial lift optimization, and well stimulation programs.


• Participate in the design and implementation of reservoir development plans, including well placement, completion design, and recovery methods.


• Maintain a strong focus on asset integrity, ensuring the integrity of wells, flowlines, and surface facilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.


• Minimum of 7 years of experience in petroleum engineering and production operations, preferably within the upstream oil and gas industry.


• Strong experience with, well surveillance, well intervention, and production optimization.


• Proficient in petroleum engineering software (e.g., Prosper, GAP, OFM).


• Strong understanding of well completion, artificial lift systems, and reservoir management.


• Familiarity with the OML 11 asset or similar Nigerian onshore/offshore fields is a plus.
