Job Description



Responsibilities



  • Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure accurate postings for all financial transactions.

  • Lead the preparation and management of the company’s annual budget and periodic forecasts.

  • Forecast short-term and long-term cash requirements and manage banking relationships.

  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely payments to suppliers and collection from customers.

  • Implement and improve systems for invoicing, collection, and disbursement processes.

  • Ensure compliance with tax laws and timely submission of tax returns (e.g., VAT, corporate tax, payroll taxes).

  • Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities as necessary.

  • Manage employee expense reimbursements and related financial reporting.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.

  • Continuously seek opportunities to automate and streamline financial processes.

  • Coordinate and prepare for internal and external audits, ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with standards.

  • Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations and laws, as well as corporate governance standards.

  • Monitor the financial risks facing the company and implement strategies to mitigate them.

  • Manage the company’s fixed assets, including acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation accounting.

  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support the development of company strategies and business plans.

  • Advise the COO on cost control, financial performance improvements, and potential investment opportunities.


Qualifications & Skills



  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA are highly preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role.


Technical Skills:



  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero) and financial reporting tools.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of local tax laws, financial regulations, and reporting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).


Soft Skills:



  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with management and cross-functional teams.
