As a Penetration Tester at Ethnos Cyber Limited, you will perform security assessments, simulate real-world attacks, and help improve clients’ security postures.
Your role will involve identifying vulnerabilities in applications, networks, and systems while providing actionable recommendations for remediation.
Responsibilities
Perform penetration tests on web applications, networks, and systems to identify security vulnerabilities.
Simulate cyberattacks, including vulnerability exploitation and post-exploitation scenarios.
Develop and deliver detailed reports outlining vulnerabilities, risks, and recommended remediation strategies.
Collaborate with internal security teams and clients to understand business risks and design secure solutions.
Assist in developing custom scripts or tools to automate security testing processes.
Stay updated on the latest security threats, exploits, and trends in the cybersecurity landscape.
Provide expert guidance to clients on risk mitigation and vulnerability management.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2+ years of experience in penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, or red teaming.
Proficiency with penetration testing tools such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, Nessus, and Wireshark.
Strong understanding of common attack vectors and vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10, network security, social engineering).
Relevant certifications (OSCP, CEH, GPEN) are a plus.
Experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation is desirable.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results under minimal supervision.
