Job Summary:

• The Heavy-Duty mechanic is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of heavy-duty machinery and equipment. This role requires a thorough understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. The mechanic will ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently while minimizing downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance on heavy-duty equipment, including inspection, lubrication, and parts replacement.


• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in machinery.


• Repair and overhaul engines, transmissions, and other critical components.


• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.


• Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate maintenance schedules.


• Adhere to safety standards and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.


• Work closely with operators and other team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.

Qualifications:

• Completion of a heavy-duty mechanic apprenticeship or relevant vocational training.


• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.


•  6-10 years of experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance
