Job Summary



  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial planning, analysis and projection for existing, new and upcoming projects.

  • Must be able to forecast future revenues and expenditures to establish cost structures and determine capital budgeting for projects.


Duties and Responsibilities



  • Provide analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to senior management

  • Produce monthly reports, which include key metrics, financial results, and variance reporting

  • Spearhead the annual and quarterly budgeting and forecasting processes

  • Identify opportunities for performance improvement across the organization

  • Maintain knowledge and keep abreast of new financial regulations or policies

  • Develop models that help with decision-making

  • Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking

  • Analyse past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements

  • Work closely with management to ensure accurate financial reporting

  • Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analysing actual results with plans and and forecast

  • Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures around expenditures

  • Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization

  • Recommend actions by analysing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials

  • Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards

  • Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools

  • Perform market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuations

  • Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models

  • Reconcile existing transactions through cross-referencing of incoming and outgoing data

  • Conduct comparable analysis and market research to support internal financial analysis

  • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of financial instruments, market conditions, and trends


Qualifications / Experience



  • B.Sc (1st or 2nd Class Upper) plus M. Sc Degree in Social Sciences or Management

  • Qualified Accountant - ACA plus minimum of 10 years experience in Financial Management

  • Proficient in the use of Enterprise-wide Accounting Application such as SAGE or SAP and Ms Office packages and Power Point Presentation
