Job Summary
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial planning, analysis and projection for existing, new and upcoming projects.
- Must be able to forecast future revenues and expenditures to establish cost structures and determine capital budgeting for projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to senior management
- Produce monthly reports, which include key metrics, financial results, and variance reporting
- Spearhead the annual and quarterly budgeting and forecasting processes
- Identify opportunities for performance improvement across the organization
- Maintain knowledge and keep abreast of new financial regulations or policies
- Develop models that help with decision-making
- Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking
- Analyse past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements
- Work closely with management to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analysing actual results with plans and and forecast
- Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures around expenditures
- Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization
- Recommend actions by analysing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials
- Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards
- Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools
- Perform market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuations
- Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models
- Reconcile existing transactions through cross-referencing of incoming and outgoing data
- Conduct comparable analysis and market research to support internal financial analysis
- Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of financial instruments, market conditions, and trends
Qualifications / Experience
- B.Sc (1st or 2nd Class Upper) plus M. Sc Degree in Social Sciences or Management
- Qualified Accountant - ACA plus minimum of 10 years experience in Financial Management
- Proficient in the use of Enterprise-wide Accounting Application such as SAGE or SAP and Ms Office packages and Power Point Presentation
