Job Description


The Security Manager (SM) will be responsible for coordinating all the security affairs of the company and ensuring the safety of all staff and company properties. Generally, the Security Manager will be responsible for creating and maintaining a safe environment within a company, which involves ensuring the protection of the company’s assets and employees. Below are the key roles of the Security Manager for Rice Farm.



  • The Security Manager will be responsible for the entire security of all the staff and company properties

  • He will be supervising the activities of all the security agents (Military, Police, Kings Guard, and Local Security) working for the company

  • He will be responsible for developing comprehensive security programs to ensure the physical safety of all employees and visitors with their properties.

  • Overseeing the daily operations of the company to identify potential security risks and room for improvement and to equally ensure all security apparatus are maintained and updated.

  • Fostering a culture of physical workplace violence and crime awareness by conducting training sessions and communicating with personnel.

  • Managing, evaluating, and resolving all security incidents or breaches. Heading the Farm Internal Investigation Team (FIIT) for all crimes and security breaches within the company.


Requirements



  • Develop and maintain Intelligence (spies and machinery) on security operations to provide proactive information to management and kept it confidential.  

  • Implement disciplinary procedures among all staff to avert crimes within the company

  • Regular check on all security posts for efficient delivery of their mandates 

  • Develop and maintain a Fire fighting crew within the security team & and work hand in hand with the Safety Manager.  

  • Ensuring that the company's security policies and operations comply with all federal laws and legislations

  • And any other security affairs that will keep staff and company properties safe.

  • Work with the company Security Coordinator to develop and implement an appropriate budget for security programs

  • Prioritize security initiatives to avert all crises that will negatively impact the company’s operations 

  • Maintain relationships/collaboration with external law enforcement agencies at local, state, and federal government levels

  • Develop emergency procedures and present risk assessments and improved security policies to management team members
