Job Description

• The Dispatch Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating the dispatch of deliveries and transport services efficiently.


• The role involves scheduling drivers, optimizing routes, communicating with customers, and ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.


• The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and dispatch riders to pick up and deliver productsas needed.


• Assign and optimize routes for delivery bikes to ensure timely and cost-effective service.


• Monitor real-time delivery status and adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate changes, delays, or emergencies.


• Act as the main point of contact for riders and communicate delivery schedules, route changes, and other instructions.


• Coordinate with customers to provide updates on delivery statuses and resolve any issues that arise during transport.


• Maintain constant communication with the logistics/operations team to provide updates on the delivery process.


• Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, delivery times, riders performance, and route efficiency.


• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on delivery metrics, including delays, fuel consumption, and route optimization.


• Quickly address any challenges that arise during the delivery process, such as traffic delays, mechanical failures, or driver availability.


• Work with the logistics team to troubleshoot and resolve any operational or customer service issues.


• Ensure all dispatch activities comply with company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards (e.g., traffic laws, paper works).


• Monitor riders compliance with safety regulations, driving hours, and vehicle maintenance.


• Work with customers to ensure delivery expectations are met or exceeded.


• Collaborate with storestaff to ensure accurate and timely pickup and delivery of orders.


• Work with fleet maintenance teams to schedule routine bikemaintenance and address any issues that may affect delivery timelines.

Requirements

• A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred).


• 2-3 years of experience in dispatching, logistics coordination, or a related field.


• Proficiency in using dispatch management software, GPS tracking systems, and office productivity tools (MS Office, Google Workspace).
