Job Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our auto repair shop team. The Service Advisor will be the primary point of contact for our customers, guiding them through the repair process, explaining services, and providing exceptional customer service. This role requires strong communication skills, automotive knowledge, and the ability to resolve customer concerns effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Sales and Service: Greet customers and listen to their needs regarding vehicle issues. Recommend services, provide repair estimates, and upsell maintenance packages where appropriate.
- Explain Pricing: Clearly explain the breakdown of repair costs, including parts, labor, and other charges. Address any concerns customers may have about pricing and provide justifications when necessary.
- Customer Communication: Keep customers informed throughout the repair process, including updates on their vehicles' status, potential delays, and additional repair needs.
- Resolve Customer Concerns: Address customer complaints or dissatisfaction with repairs, handling issues calmly and finding a resolution to ensure a positive outcome.
- Process Coordination: Schedule appointments, manage repair orders, and liaise with technicians to ensure timely completion of work.
- Document Management: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, repair orders, and payment details.
- Quality Control: Ensure all services meet the shop's standards before delivering the vehicle to the customer.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in automotive technology or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in a service advisor, sales, or customer service role (preferably in the automotive industry).
- Strong automotive knowledge and understanding of repair processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism and patience.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with automotive management software.
