Job Overview:



We are seeking an experienced farm Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our greenhouse. The farm Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the production process, ensuring that the greenhouse is running smoothly and efficiently, and maintaining high-quality standards. The farm Operations Manager will also be responsible for managing the staff and working with other departments to ensure that the greenhouse is operating at its maximum potential.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Manage day-to-day operations of the greenhouse, including production, disease and quality control, IPM, fertigation and irrigation and maintenance.

  • Ensure that the greenhouse is running smoothly and efficiently, and that production targets are met.

  • Monitor and manage the inventory of supplies and equipment

  • Implement and maintain production schedules, and adjust as necessary to meet demand.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and customers.

  • Manage a team of employees, including hiring, training, and scheduling.

  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.

  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures for all aspects of the greenhouse operation.

  • Work with other departments, such as sales and marketing, to ensure that the greenhouse is operating at its maximum potential



Qualifications:




  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a management role in a greenhouse or agricultural setting.

  • Strong knowledge of plant production and greenhouse operations.

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations.

  • Experience with project management and budgeting.
