Job Overview

Our client, a reputable player in the Real Estate and Construction industry, is seeking a Site Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in overseeing construction projects, ensuring adherence to design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic work environment and is capable of effectively coordinating site activities.

Location: Island, Lagos

Salary: 200,000 Naira Monthly (Gross)

Responsibilities

1. Supervise and monitor construction site activities to ensure project execution aligns with design specifications and quality standards.


2. Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other construction professionals to maintain workflow efficiency and timely project completion.


3. Oversee daily operations on the construction site, including labor management, scheduling, and materials supply.


4. Conduct regular inspections to assess project progress and identify potential issues, taking corrective measures as needed.


5. Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and quality standards, minimizing risks and ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.


6. Prepare and submit progress reports, daily logs, and other site documentation for project updates.


7. Provide technical guidance and support to site workers, resolving any technical challenges that may arise.


8. Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and clients, to facilitate smooth operations.


9. Assist in budget management by monitoring material usage, labor costs, and project expenses to avoid overruns.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.


2. Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Site Engineer in the construction or real estate industry.


3. Strong knowledge of construction site management, building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.


4. Proficient in construction management software and tools, with excellent problem-solving skills.


5. Exceptional organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.


6. Good interpersonal and communication skills for managing relationships with contractors, team members, and clients.


7. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, architectural drawings, and specifications.


8. Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential issues.
