Our client, a reputable player in the Real Estate and Construction industry, is seeking a Site Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in overseeing construction projects, ensuring adherence to design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic work environment and is capable of effectively coordinating site activities.
Location: Island, Lagos
Salary: 200,000 Naira Monthly (Gross)
Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor construction site activities to ensure project execution aligns with design specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other construction professionals to maintain workflow efficiency and timely project completion.
- Oversee daily operations on the construction site, including labor management, scheduling, and materials supply.
- Conduct regular inspections to assess project progress and identify potential issues, taking corrective measures as needed.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and quality standards, minimizing risks and ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
- Prepare and submit progress reports, daily logs, and other site documentation for project updates.
- Provide technical guidance and support to site workers, resolving any technical challenges that may arise.
- Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and clients, to facilitate smooth operations.
- Assist in budget management by monitoring material usage, labor costs, and project expenses to avoid overruns.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Site Engineer in the construction or real estate industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction site management, building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Proficient in construction management software and tools, with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills for managing relationships with contractors, team members, and clients.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, architectural drawings, and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential issues.
