MAIN JOB DESCRIPTION

Our team is looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer who is highly skilled and experienced. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical systems, especially focusing on generators with a power output of 750KVA or higher, also ensuring optimal performance and reliability of our equipment.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines.


• Conduct safety inspections and promote a safe working environment.


• Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records.


• Prepare reports on equipment performance, maintenance activities, and spare parts inventory. 


• Collaborate with electrical engineers, technicians and other team members.


• Provide technical guidance and support to less experienced team members. 

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

Preventive Maintenance:

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all mechanical systems.


• Conduct routine inspections, tests, and adjustments to ensure optimal equipment performance. 


• Identify and address potential issues before they escalate into major breakdowns. 

Reactive Maintenance:

• Respond promptly to equipment failures and breakdowns


• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently.


• Oversee repair and maintenance activities, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDEX

• Maintenance Response Time: Average time taken to respond to maintenance requests.


• Equipment Uptime: Percentage of time that generators are operational and not under maintenance.


• Maintenance Cost Efficiency: Ratio of maintenance costs to total operational costs.


• Safety Compliance Rate: Adherence to safety protocols and regulations during maintenance activities.


• Preventive Maintenance Completion Rate: Percentage of scheduled preventive maintenance tasks completed on time.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.


• Minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, specifically with 750KVA generators and above.


• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and troubleshooting techniques.


• Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.


• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
