Duties and Responsibilities

• Identifying and correcting file and system errors


• Performing data processing operations according to a business production schedule


• Performing backup procedures to reduce the risk of data loss


• Maintaining computer equipment and inventory and organizing repairs as needed


• Collaborating with Programmers and Systems Analysts to coordinate testing environments and resolve system problems


• Maintaining and managing processing logs and run procedures manuals


• Answering questions and troubleshooting problems for users


• Notifying maintenance personnel of system malfunctions


• Monitoring and scheduling jobs


• Monitoring the running of nightly updates


• Manually submitting batch processing jobs


• Running application performance management scans


• Processing phone requests


• Cleaning printers and performing preventive maintenance.

Requisite Qualification and Experience

• Certification in Computing, Engineering or Computing related discipline.

Work Experience:

• Approx. 2 - 3 years work experience.


• Knowledge of Information Security Management Systems, Systems integration and development, messaging systems, and good working knowledge of Microsoft Server and Clients’ Operating Systems


• Be familiar with Network monitoring and diagnostic tools


• Previous experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2008, 2012, and 2016 preferred.
