Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced and an ACA-certified Accountant to join our client's office in Port Harcourt.


• The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in Accounting and Finance, and a deep understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the day-to-day accounting operations.


• Prepare and analyze financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.


• Ensure compliance with accounting standards such as IFRS or GAAP.


• Coordinate audits and tax returns.


• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.


• Provide financial advice and support to management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.


• Minimum 4 years of experience in accounting role.


• ACA certification or equivalent.


• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.


• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage), is an added advantage.


• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Strong leadership and communication abilities.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional Skills:

• Experience with financial reporting and analysis.


• Knowledge of tax laws and regulations.


• Familiarity with auditing procedures.
