The Legal Counsel acts as first point of contact between SBC's plants, the supply chain functionand the headquarters on legal and regulatory affairs (excluding disciplinary matters).
They alsomanagethe group's real estate portfolio.
Main Responsibilties
Keep abreast of all relevant regulations, guidelines, and industry standards which affect SBC’s manufacturing operations to ensure the company's products and plants meet compliance requirements.
Provide support to the Regulatory Affairs Team on queries relating to factory compliance, production process, product composition, and product labeling.
Alert the Industry Affairs team on all relevant pending, imminent, and actual regulatory developments which affect SBC’s manufacturing operations.
Manage product liability claims (in conjunction with the insurer)
Management of SBC’s and related parties’ real estate transactions (commercial and industrial tenancies, leaseholds, freeholds).
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess a Bachelor of Law Degree
Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria
At least 5-7 years’ post-call experience in similar role
Industry skills: Experience in regulatory affairs, manufacturing andproperty management.
