The individual will play a critical role in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems within construction projects.
Responsibilities
Installation of Electrical Systems: The Electrical Technicians will set up electrical wiring, circuits, and related systems according to project specifications. This includes lighting, power distribution systems, and building automation systems.
Routine Maintenance and Repairs: The Electrician Technician will perform scheduled maintenance to prevent system failures and conduct repairs on electrical systems and equipment, including diagnosing and resolving issues.
Safety Compliance: He will ensure all electrical work meets local codes, industry standards, and safety guidelines. Will adhere to all safety protocols to prevent accidents on-site.
System Testing and Quality Assurance: The Technicians will be involved in testing installed electrical components and systems to ensure they are operating as intended. This often includes conducting quality checks and documenting inspection results.
Reading Blueprints and Schematics: He should have the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints and will follow specific design requirements, ensuring correct installation and integration of electrical components.
Collaboration with Other Trades: Will work alongside HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical teams. The Electrical Technicians will also help coordinate tasks to ensure all systems function effectively together.
Troubleshooting: Have the sole responsibility of identifying electrical faults and performing on-the-spot repairs, particularly when a system malfunctions or doesn’t meet project requirements.
Documentation and Reporting: Must maintainaccurate records of installations, maintenance activities, and inspections for compliance and quality assurance.
Requirements
Candidates should possess SSCE / OND /HND / B.Sc Degrees with 5 - 15 years relevant work experience.
