Job Responsibilties




  • Oversee the planning and execution of crop production activities.

  • Research, develop, and promote farming practices or products that diminish the effects of changes in soil, climate, and weather or prevent damages from pests.

  • Responsible for all field operations (land clearing, land preparation, planting, harvesting, and post-harvest) and ensure they are carried out according to budget and schedule.

  • Generate sales and marketing leads to ensure offtakes of farm output.

  • Manage farm staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.

  • Monitor and maintain farm equipment, ensuring regular maintenance and repairs.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

  • Liaise with local suppliers, vendors, and regulatory authorities.

  • Develop strategies to improve farm productivity, profitability, and sustainability.

  • Ensure optimal utilization of land, water, and other resources for maximum productivity.

  • Implement modern farming techniques and technologies to enhance yield and efficiency.

  • Prepare budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure cost-effective farming operations.

  • Maintain records of farm activities, financial reports, and inventory management.



Educational Qualification




  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or any related field.

  • MBA will be an added advantage.

  • Nationality: No preference.



Requirements:




  • 7-10 years of farm management experience, exposure to large-scale farming a prerequisite.

  • Proven track record of improving productivity and profitability on farms.

  • Knowledge of modern farming techniques, equipment, and technologies.

  • Strong leadership and people management skills.

  • Ability to work well in a diverse cultural environment.

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.

  • Willingness to work in rural areas and adapt to local conditions.
