Roles and Responsibilities
- You will apply appropriate welding processes to join, surface, fabricate, and repair parts of metal or other materials
- Your knowledge of layouts, work orders, blueprints, schematics and sketches using manual, automatic, and/or semi-automatic welding equipment allows you to complete your work in a timely manner
- You will fixture and mark weld points on parts or sub-assemblies
- Using measuring instruments and hand tools, you will position pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides and steps
- You start the day reviewing production orders then preparing your material for processing
- Safety is a priority – you will learn proper safety measures via online and in-person training
- You ensure the material meets a customer’s expectations by checking the size, finish, and accuracy of the finished product
- All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities.
Position Requirements
- Candidates should possess FSLC / SSCE / OND qualification with 2 - 4 years experience.
- Successfully pass a skills-based assessment evaluating reading, math, inspection & measurement, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
- Regular attendance, including being on time and ready to work at assigned start time.
- Great attitude and team player
- Ability to work assigned overtime, at times with short notice
- Ability to find, enter, and print information on a computer as necessary
- Ability to pass physical requirements exam for vision and hearing, as well as mobility and lifting requirements
- Additional requirements based on what machine a candidate would be using and the skills needed to operate (if applicable).
