This job role drives financial forecasts for variance control and tax management in compliance with extant laws.
Job Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or any related field.
- Membership of any of the following professional bodies is required: Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), Institute of Charted Accounts of Nigeria (ICAN), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Chartered Institute of Management Accounting (CIMA).
- At least 5 years post-qualification experience in the tax field or related discipline.
Job Responsibility
- Prepares financial planning and forecasting tools that are in line with corporate goals.
- Oversees financial planning process and monitors overall budget performance (variance analysis).
- Reviews Financial Plans and Budgets, and guides each department to ensure realistic plans.
- Ensures compliance with corporate tax policies across the franchise.
- Respond to tax queries from relevant tax authorities.
- Ensures prompt processing, remittance, and reconciliation of all statutory obligations in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Liaises with the Consolidation and Financial Reporting on all local tax matters.
- Liaises with various local tax authorities to resolve outstanding Tax matters.
- Health, Safety and Environment.
- Carry out other sundry assignments as may be directed by the Chief Financial Officer.
