Job Overview




  • The Electrician is responsible for maintaining voltage circuits and performing basic electrical operations to ensure the safe and efficient functioning of all electrical systems within the mining facility.

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical control principles, be adept at reading and interpreting electrical control schematic diagram.



Responsibilities




  • Perform routine maintenance on voltage circuits and electrical systems.

  • Inspect and troubleshoot electrical issues to prevent downtime and ensure continuous operation.

  • Repair and replace faulty wiring, equipment, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.

  • Perform installation and testing of electrical power plant equipments, transformers, circuit breakers, relay control panels, distribution lines and auxillary equipment.

  • Install new voltage electrical systems and components as required.

  • Read and interpret electrical control schematic diagrams to diagnose issues and implement solutions effectively.

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations related to electrical maintenance and safety.

  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and installations.

  • Report any major issues or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly.



Requirements




  • Experience working as an electrician or electrical engineer

  • Experience working in a Chinese company is an added advantage.

  • Proficient in maintaining and troubleshooting low voltage electrical systems.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical control principles and familiarity with electrical control schematic diagrams.

  • Good Knowledge of electrical control components such as switches, relays, contactors and sensors.

  • Strong understanding of electrical safety regulations and best practices.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree / HND / OND / FLSC with 1 - 3 years experience
