As part of our ongoing projects in Lagos, Horatio Limited is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer/Planner to manage the planning and execution of our construction works.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the operations team to handle bids, tenders, and project planning for all ongoing and upcoming projects.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage detailed project schedules for ongoing and upcoming projects in Lagos.
Ensure that project timelines, resources, and budgets are met through effective planning.
Create and maintain work breakdown structures, ensuring all project activities are captured
Review bid documents, assess project requirements, and help develop competitive proposals.
Coordinate with various departments to ensure accurate data for tender submissions.
Oversee the allocation of resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to ensure project success.
Coordinate with the project manager and team members to align project needs and resources effectively.
Regularly update project status to ensure deadlines are met.
Maintain accurate documentation of project plans, schedules, and changes.
Generate and submit regular progress reports to the senior management team.
Ensure all documentation complies with both company standards and regulatory requirements.
Liaise with key stakeholders, including clients and subcontractors, to provide updates and resolve issues.
Ensure clear communication across teams and with clients to align project expectations and deliverables.
Identify potential risks and delays, proposing mitigation strategies to avoid disruptions.
Resolve any planning or scheduling conflicts promptly, ensuring project continuity.
Monitor project quality to ensure compliance with safety standards and engineering specifications.
Conduct site inspections to verify that the project is being executed according to the approved plan.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction project management with successful delivery of 3+ large-scale projects.
Required Skills:
Proficiency in project management software and budgeting tools.
Experience with planning tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and scheduling techniques.
Familiarity with bid preparation and tender management processes.
Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills.
