THE PURPOSE

To execute the maintenance plans and procedures in the Mills and packing station, carry out maintenance effectively and ensure efficient performance of electrical systems and machineries.

THE DUTIES

• Schedule maintenance activities and monitor maintenance electricians to ensure optimal skills and capacities utilization


• Ensure jobs assigned and maintenance tasks are promptly carried out to prevent production loss due to machine downtime


• Document and analyze maintenance parameters for plant improvement


• Ensure effective and efficient troubleshooting/fault finding of machines and equipment to reduce downtime


• Monitor the usage and handling of materials and tools assigned to electricians


• Identify job skills gap of subordinates and organize on-the-job training


• Ensure all routine maintenance work is handled on a regular schedule to reduce the risk of larger and more complex issues and to reduce costs


• Plan and organize maintenance of the relevant machines to ensure maintenance schedules are followed.

• Have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.


• Have strong analytical and problem solving skills.


• Be able to pay attention to details and accuracy.


• Have excellent time management and prioritization skills.


• Be able to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATION

• BSC/HND in electrical engineering or any related field.


• COREN, NSE will be an added advantage.

EXPERIENCE

• 5 years cognate experience in a milling environment.
