Responsibilities
- To identify new business opportunities to generate revenue, improve profitability and help the business grow
- Develop and implement BD strategy for the company
- Positioning in the appropriate markets
- Lead the generation of sales leads, research, and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets
- Foster and develop relationships with customers/clients
- Understand the needs of your customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these
- Draft client contracts and ensure the terms and suitable for the company and client
- Liaise with appropriate teams to deliver BD mandate
- Attend seminars, conferences, and events where appropriate to seek business opportunities
- Market and promote the organizational brand
- Recruit, train and manage the performance of team members
- Write and submit periodic reports
- Perform any other job-related roles assigned
Know How, Education & Experience
- Degree in Geo Sciences
- Master’s in business related field is an added advantage
- 3 years’ experience in a similar role is desirable
- Knowledge of business processes
