Responsibilities




  • To identify new business opportunities to generate revenue, improve profitability and help the business grow

  • Develop and implement BD strategy for the company

  • Positioning in the appropriate markets

  • Lead the generation of sales leads, research, and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets

  • Foster and develop relationships with customers/clients

  • Understand the needs of your customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these

  • Draft client contracts and ensure the terms and suitable for the company and client

  • Liaise with appropriate teams to deliver BD mandate

  • Attend seminars, conferences, and events where appropriate to seek business opportunities

  • Market and promote the organizational brand

  • Recruit, train and manage the performance of team members

  • Write and submit periodic reports

  • Perform any other job-related roles assigned



Know How, Education & Experience




  • Degree in Geo Sciences

  • Master’s in business related field is an added advantage

  • 3 years’ experience in a similar role is desirable

  • Knowledge of business processes

  • Research and analytical skills

  • Customer service skills

  • Tenacity and drive to seek new business and meet or exceed targets

  • interpersonal skills for building and developing relationships with clients
