Job Summary




  • We are seeking to hire an experienced Inventory Supervisor.

  • The Inventory Supervisor will be primarily responsible for coordinating and supervising the sites inventory.

  • The Inventory Supervisor will also oversee the sorting, bailing and storage of raw materials collected from 3rd party aggregators or vendors.

  • The Inventory Supervisor will be required to work under limited supervision within a framework of standard policies and procedures and is expected to always act in a supervisory capacity.



Job Functions




  • Oversee the safe operation of equipment such as balers, forklifts, pallet trucks, and any other equipment used to sort, stack, and move recyclable materials or finished products.

  • Establish work schedules and procedures.

  • Co-ordinate activities with production department

  • Prepare and submit inventory reports.

  • Ensure smooth operation of the warehouse and other equipment/machinery.

  • Arrange for preventive maintenance or repair work (if required)

  • Resolve warehouse operations related problems.

  • Train indirect workers in duties and policies

  • Conduct performance reviews

  • Maintain inventory levels, ensure orders for raw materials, equipment and supplies are raised in timely manner.

  • Plan, organize and oversee stock transfer and raw/finished product handling across the site.

  • Coordinate delivery/unloading of raw materials with the vendors via the Field Development Lead/Field Officers

  • Process invoices, bills of lading and other related paperwork.



Job Qualifications




  • Education: Diploma or Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

  • Work experience:

    • 2+ years’ experience in a warehouse supervisory

    • Experience in recycling, material recovery or material handling facility is an asset.





Required knowledge and skills:




  • Ability to work under pressure.

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Some understanding of SHE responsibilities in the workplace

  • Demonstrated experience in warehouse environment

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team.



Technical Requirement:




  • Solid computer skills with proficiency in the use of MS Office, particularly Excel and other ERP software.



Working environment:




  • Plant/Site environment

  • Exposure to noise

  • Exposure to residential/commercial waste and recycling

  • Exposure to equipment traffic

  • Minor lifting may be required.
