Responsibilities

• Ensure breaking news is published promptly across your assigned beats and other designated areas.


• Write a variety of content in alignment with Nairametrics’ editorial plan, including features, explainers, listicles, and "how-to" articles.


• Represent Nairametrics at events, media briefings, press conferences, and television/radio interviews.


• Create original content and enhance existing content while adhering to SEO best practices.


• Brainstorm, research, and contribute innovative ideas for content tailored to the target audience.


• Cover all regulatory topics within your assigned beat as directed by your editor.


• Monitor and report on metro and trending news across social media platforms as assigned.

Requirements

•  Interested candidates should possess a BSc / HND in any relevant field with at least 2 years work experience.


• Strong writing skills with an ability to produce clear, concise, and well-researched articles.


• In-depth knowledge of politics, energy, and micro-economy, with a keen understanding of current trends.


• Proficiency in SEO and digital content creation best practices.


• Excellent time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines consistently.


• Strong research and analytical skills to produce accurate and insightful content.


• Flexibility to attend events, briefings, and interviews as a representative of Nairametrics.
