Job Description




  • We are looking for an astute and highly motivated procurement officer to assist in purchasing and negotiation activities for the company and ensure that purchased items are both cost-efficient and of high quality.

  • The procurement officer’s responsibilities include maintaining positive vendor relations, evaluating supply options, and maintaining accurate records.

  • The successful candidate will follow procurement procedures, maintain an updated list of current and incoming supplies/ materials for projects and oversee all and ministrative needs within the procurement department.



Responsibilities




  • Create and maintain relationships with vendors/ suppliers.

  • Estimate and establish budgets for purchases.

  • Review all vendors and suppliers.

  • Negotiate pricing and supply contracts.

  • Ensure that the products and supplies meet quality standards.

  • Maintain and update a list of suppliers.

  • Oversee all administrative needs within the procurement department.



Requirements




  • Excellent negotiation skills.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work with different groups of people.

  • Multitasking abilities.

  • Efficient time management skills.

  • Must possess one of the following degrees; OND, HND OR BSc.

  • 0 - 2 years of relevant experience.
