Job Summary




  • We are seeking a dependable and experienced Truck Driver to join our busy delivery team.

  • You will load up your truck with orders and deliver them to customer's locations around the local area or outside the local areas.

  • We expect you to be courteous and professional when interacting with customers.

  • All our delivery staff must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

  • You also must be familiar with the areas to ensure you make on-time deliveries.



Role Description




  • This is a full-time on-site role for a Truck Driver/Deliveryman at Goldline Nigeria Limited in Lagos.

  • The Truck Driver/Deliveryman will be responsible for driving trucks or vans to transport materials and products to and from specified destinations.

  • The Truck Driver/Deliveryman will also be responsible for making deliveries, and ensuring that all products that leave the warehouse are in good condition.

  • Ensure products are delivered promptly.

  • Keep Vehicle organized, clean, and tidy.

  • Ensure inventory stock matches delivery requirements

  • Maintain truck to ensure it remains in good driving condition

  • Ability to complete overnight travel to meet delivery requirements.

  • Handles product properly and reports damage(s) to warehouse manager

  • Complete daily maintenance checks on the delivery van and notify the manager of any issues.

  • Complete documentation such as logs, mileage reports

  • Follow all state and national safety regulations and standards.



Qualifications




  • Minimum of a secondary school leaving certificate or its equivalent

  • Valid driver's license and at least 6 years of experience in driving trucks or vans

  • Excellent knowledge of within Lagos and outside routes and traffic laws

  • Ability to drive long hours and travel long distances

  • Must be familiar with using GPS devices for navigation

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to perform various tasks in a timely and efficient manner

  • Must be able to work with little or no supervision

  • Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and repair is an added advantage

  • Close proximity to work (must reside within Okota, Isolo) is also a criteria for selection.
