Job Description




  • Conduct Data Protection Compliance Audits (DPCAs) and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for Clients and Company Affiliates in accordance with extant laws and clients’ relevant policies.

  • Work with Clients and Company Affiliates in implementing agreed data protection policies and procedures whether arising from the DPCAs, DPIAs, relevant policies or legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Generally, work and function as the Data Protection Officer of the Company and Company Affiliates.

  • Improve or develop relevant templates including toolkits required by data protection international best practices and train Clients and Company Affiliates on their effective use.

  • Implementation of the Data Protection and Privacy Market penetration strategy.

  • Generally, work with existing and potential partners, and Company Affiliates on new training programmes and initiatives on data protection and cybersecurity, whether from Nigerian, regional (ECOWAS), continental (AU) and international perspectives.

  • Manage relevant relationships with Clients, Company Affiliates, partners and regulators, to ensure that all Company and Group objectives are achieved. 

  • Work with all relevant Clients and Company Affiliates to ensure data privacy issues are considered at the outset and in the execution of all projects, products and initiatives.

  • Work with the NDPR Academy’s existing and potential partners on new training programmes and initiatives on data protection, cybersecurity, and other organizational trainings – including helping to manage all local and international affiliations.

  • Develop content-rich marketing and publicity materials for the NDPR Academy® classes and all other training offerings of the Company. 

  • Adequately monitoring the global (especially Nigeria’s) privacy rights and data protection space to ensure that the NDPR Academy® is constantly knowledgeable of all relevant trends and information.



Qualifications:




  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information technology or related course of study. Certifications in data security are a plus.

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in data protection, data security and related 

  • Strong understanding of data security concepts, technologies, and industry trends, including knowledge of encryption, access controls, data loss prevention, and regulatory compliance.

  • Updated knowledge of local and global privacy rights and data protection Knowledge of data protection policies and procedures. 

  • Must have experience in Data Protection Compliance Audits and Data Protection Impact Assessments 

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams.

  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills.

  • Self-motivated and target-oriented with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and influencing skills to drive successful deal closures.

  • Willingness to travel as required to meet clients, attend industry events, and build relationships.
