Job Description
Our client is one of the leading brands in telecommunications industry. Due to expansion they are in need of a Quality Control Officer.
Location: Ikeja
Responsibilities:
- Inspecting output samples using industry-appropriate methods, such as comparing to standards, measuring dimensions and examining functionality of the phones.
- Checking that the assembly or production line of the phones adheres to standards and procedures and complying with legal requirements
- Reviewing blueprints and specifications to compare to produced phones.
- Recording inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-works and wastes and inputting data into quality database
- Proposing improvements to the production process
- Monitoring the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and discard any that do not meet requirements
- Keeping measurement equipment operating accurately by following calibration requirements and calling for repairs
- Devising ways to improve the manufacturing process to ensure higher-quality goods.
- Devising, improving, and reviewing new specifications and procedures for products or processes, and training staff to use them.
- Supervising inspectors, technicians, and other staff members and providing guidance.
- Ensuring legal obligations are followed and ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies and with health and safety guidelines.
- Overseeing product development procedures to identify any deviations from quality standards.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in science or business-based programs.
- . Must have worked in a phone company as a quality control person.
- Good technical and IT skills.
- In-depth knowledge of quality control procedures and legal standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Up-to-date knowledge of federal and industry standards and best practices
- Understanding of target market and consumer needs
- Blueprint reading capabilities
