Job Summary
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Compliance Manager to join our team.
- The Compliance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the company’s compliance function, ensuring that all operations, processes, and business activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- You will manage a team of compliance professionals, lead compliance initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify risks, develop policies, and ensure ethical conduct and legal compliance across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- The Compliance Officer ensures strict organizational adherence to all relevant regulations by continuously monitoring and updating requirements.
- Designs and implements comprehensive internal compliance policies and procedures to meet regulatory standards.
- Conducts thorough audits and compliance assessments to verify policy adherence and document findings.
- Prepares and submits mandatory regulatory filings and disclosures accurately, meeting all deadlines.
- Monitors high-risk areas closely and implements preventive measures to mitigate compliance risks.
- Investigates suspected regulatory violations, reporting findings to senior management for further action.
- Establishes and enforces disciplinary measures for non-compliance, ensuring consistent application across the organization.
- Develops and oversees compliance training programs to educate employees on regulatory requirements and ethical standards.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of emerging regulations and industry trends, communicating updates as necessary.
- Establishes a confidential compliance reporting system to allow employees to report concerns or violations discreetly.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications such as Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM), Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP), or similar certifications are preferred.
Experience:
- 5 - 7 years of experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory roles, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership position.
- Experience in managing compliance teams, developing compliance programs, and interacting with regulatory authorities.
- Experience in [specific industry] is preferred (e.g., finance, healthcare, technology, etc.).
Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, SOX, anti-money laundering, etc.).
- Proven experience in leading risk assessments, audits, and investigations.
- Excellent leadership, management, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations and translate them into actionable compliance strategies.
- Proficiency with compliance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
