Main Function




  • The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving growth and profitability at the Medical Spa.

  • This role requires a strategic leader who can identify revenue-generating opportunities, build and maintain partnerships, and position the spa as the leading aesthetic and wellness destination in Africa.

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, sales, and marketing, with a proven ability to execute strategies that yield measurable results.



Role Responsibilities

Revenue Growth and Client Acquisition:




  • Develop and implement innovative strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets.

  • Identify new business opportunities, including partnerships, memberships, and package sales.

  • Design and execute targeted marketing campaigns to attract new clients, with a focus on high-net-worth individuals, corporate clients, and medical tourists.

  • Drive membership growth through tiered packages that cater to wellness-conscious clientele.

  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, adjusting strategies as needed to maximize profitability.



Business Expansion:




  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities for growth in the wellness and aesthetic industries.

  • Lead efforts to launch new service offerings and programs, ensuring alignment with the spa’s mission and values.

  • Establish strategic partnerships with luxury hotels, corporate wellness programs, and healthcare providers to enhance brand visibility and drive referrals.

  • Develop and implement a franchise model to expand the spa’s footprint across Nigeria and other African markets.

  • Oversee the rollout of mobile wellness units in key cities to reach untapped markets.



Strategic Planning and Execution:




  • Collaborate with senior management to develop a comprehensive business development plan.

  • Prepare regular reports on business development activities, revenue performance, and market analysis.

  • Forecast revenue trends and develop risk mitigation strategies.



Marketing and Brand Positioning:




  • Work with the marketing team to enhance the spa’s digital presence through social media, content marketing, and influencer collaborations.

  • Organize and manage promotional events, such as VIP launch events, demo days, and wellness seminars.

  • Represent the spa at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to build relationships and promote the brand.



Relationship Management:




  • Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including corporate partners, referral sources, and industry influencers.

  • Regularly engage with clients to understand their needs and preferences, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty.

  • Develop strategies to retain existing clients, including personalized wellness programs and loyalty incentives.



Team Collaboration:




  • Work closely with the spa’s operational team to align business development initiatives with service delivery capabilities.

  • Provide leadership and training to staff on sales techniques and client engagement strategies.



Experience / Qualifications




  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in business development, sales, or revenue generation, preferably in the wellness, healthcare, or hospitality sectors.

  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets is non-negotiable.

  • In-depth understanding of the medical spa or wellness industry is highly desirable.

  • Sales and Negotiation: Strong skills in closing deals, building partnerships, and increasing client acquisition.

  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing sales data, market trends, and KPIs to make informed decisions.

  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities.
