Main Function
- The Hygiene Officer is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene across the Medical Spa.
- This role is critical in ensuring a safe, welcoming, and luxurious environment for clients and staff, meeting all health and safety standards required for a medical and aesthetic facility.
Role Responsibilities
Cleaning and Sanitation:
- Clean and disinfect all spa areas, including treatment rooms, reception areas, restrooms, and staff facilities, to maintain a pristine and hygienic environment.
- Ensure proper cleaning and sanitization of equipment, tools, and surfaces used in treatments, adhering to medical-grade hygiene standards.
- Handle laundry services, including washing, drying, and neatly arranging towels, robes, and linens for client use.
- Restock and organize cleaning supplies, toiletries, and other hygiene-related materials as needed.
Compliance and Safety:
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including those specific to medical spa operations, such as proper handling of biohazardous materials.
- Conduct regular inspections of all areas to identify and address cleanliness or maintenance concerns promptly.
- Adhere to guidelines for the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Maintain logs and records of cleaning activities for accountability and compliance audits.
Client and Staff Support:
- Ensure treatment rooms are cleaned, sanitized, and prepared promptly between client sessions.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of shared areas to provide a seamless and pleasant experience for clients.
- Support staff by ensuring their work areas remain clean, organized, and free of hazards.
Waste Management:
- Dispose of waste, including general, recyclable, and medical waste, according to established protocols.
- Ensure proper separation, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
Experience / Qualification:
- Minimum of a Secondary School Certificate or equivalent; additional training in sanitation or cleaning is a plus.
- At least 1 year of experience in a professional cleaning or hygiene role, preferably in a medical, hospitality, or spa setting.
- Knowledge of cleaning practices and safe use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Familiarity with hygiene protocols for medical or spa environments is highly desirable.
