Job Summary
- Our company seeks a skilled Electrical Engineer to support and maintain our electrical systems across farm operations. The successful candidate will manage, troubleshoot, and optimize electrical systems and ensure the effective functioning of power supply systems for poultry production.
- The role requires substantial experience with industrial electrical systems, familiarity with agricultural environments, and a commitment to maintaining safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical System Maintenance:
- Perform routine inspections, repairs, and maintenance on electrical equipment, including HVAC systems, motors, lighting, and control systems.
- Ensure continuous and efficient power supply, minimizing downtime across farm operations.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all electrical equipment.
Troubleshooting and Repairs:
- Diagnose electrical issues accurately and resolve problems to reduce operational interruptions.
- Work to repair or replace faulty wiring, circuit breakers, switches, and other electrical components as needed.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure all electrical systems comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and farm policies.
- Promote a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and recommending improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inventory, and compliance documentation.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with mechanical engineers, production managers, and other team members to ensure cohesive farm operations.
- Support the training of staff in the basic operation and safety of electrical systems and equipment.
System Upgrades and Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency and reliability of electrical systems.
- Stay updated on industry trends and innovations to recommend new technologies and improvements.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in an agricultural or food production environment.
- In-depth knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including motors, control systems, and power distribution.
- Strong experience in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with relevant health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Previous experience in a poultry or livestock farming setting.
- Familiarity with agricultural equipment and electrical systems used in farm operations.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
