Job Summary




  • We are seeking an experienced and skilled Accountant to join our team at SAMTL.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and examining financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • The Accountant will play a key role in maintaining the bank's financial integrity and contributing to its growth and success.



Key Responsibilities




  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including financial reporting, taxation, and internal controls.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts, and analyze financial performance against targets.

  • Auditing: Assist internal and external auditors with audit requests and provide necessary documentation.

  • Financial Analysis: Perform financial analysis and provide insights to support business decisions.

  • Accounting Standards: Stay up-to-date with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and implement changes as necessary.



Requirements




  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the banking industry.

  • Certifications: CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification.



Skills:




  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards.

  • Proficiency in financial software and systems.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
