Responsibilities



Below are key responsilities of the Branch Manager:




  • Oversees the daily management of the store

  • Organises and supervises the work schedules and staff, especially during traffic and peak hours/seasons

  • Conducts performance evaluations constructively

  • Confirms daily sales reports and cash receipts; ensures monies are deposited regularly, and reports are submitted as prescribed by company policies.

  • Addresses customer needs and resolves issues, ensuring positive and long-term customer relationships.

  • Plans, organizes and coordinates sales, marketing, and budgeting.

  • Uses company software to research, analyse, and track purchases.

  • Ensures that the store always looks clean and inviting.

  • Places and rotates merchandise to attract positive attention from customers.

  • Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.

  • Maintains and motivates a positive sales team through communication, incentives, and evaluations.

  • Plans, organizes and coordinates sales, marketing, and budgeting.

  • Ensures inventory data is correct by performing spot inventory counts and checks.

  • Collaborates with other managers to develop, coordinate, and identify cost-effective advertising and hiring strategies.

  • Supervise, coach, train and assist employees to ensure productivity and offer feedback.



Requirements




  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with 3 - 5 years experience.

  • The selected candidate must have proven experience working in a similar role in the supermarket sector.
