The Project Engineer will oversee mechanical/electrical inspection, troubleshooting, and evaluation of installation works on building projects.
You will work closely with the Project Manager/Director, manage technical and financial aspects, and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, manage, and execute installations as per project specifications, standards, and timelines.
Coordinate with project teams to ensure seamless integration of MEPF systems with architectural and structural designs.
Assist in developing project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans for project works.
Conduct inspections and evaluations of installation works to ensure compliance with technical drawings, design specifications, and quality standards.
Resolve technical issues on-site, providing troubleshooting and engineering solutions as required.
Prepare working and As-Built drawings, ensuring they reflect the executed installations.
Represent the company in client and consultant meetings, providing updates on project progress and addressing queries.
Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance of materials and services.
Maintain accurate project records, including technical documents, inspection reports, and material submittals.
Prepare and submit progress reports, highlighting project milestones, challenges, and solutions.
Assist in the preparation of handover documentation, including the Operation and Maintenance Manual.
Provide technical guidance and support to site personnel.
Conduct training sessions for staff.
Motivate and lead teams to achieve excellence in execution.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
BSc, B.Tech / HND or M.Sc or its equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
Minimum of 5 years post NYSC experience in MEP building services
