Job Description
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To ensure that all electrical equipment are being maintained to achieve the manufacturer’s life span of the equipment and eliminate downtime due to electrical issues
THE JOB
- Carry out planned maintenance on the process, silo and packing machines to minimize equipment downtime.
- Diagnose and repair electrical component to keep the machines running efficiently.
- Check the current value of drives and ensure it is within the related limits.
- Troubleshoot/ diagnose electrical, circuit and component issues and propose a course of action.
- Carryout Why-Why analysis on repeated problems and troubleshoot problems to aid effective maintenance.
- Repair and replace faulty wiring or electrical systems.
- Report the general condition of equipment and recommend replacement when necessary to supervisor.
- Carry out maintenance strictly with the use of Machine drawings and checklist.
- Complete job reports and process paperwork.
THE PERSON MUST
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must be highly versatile in electrical troubleshooting.
- Be self motivated and able to work well independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Have great organizational and time management abilities.
QUALIFICATION
- 5 O’ level credits including Mathematics & English in not more than 2 sittings/NABTEB/ Trade Test.
EXPERIENCE
- 2 years cognate experience.
