Locations:  Borno (MMC and Konduga)



JOB SUMMARY



With the technical backing of the Project Manager, Education Officers and Education Sector Manager, The facilitator will be responsible for supporting and implementing the minimum measures for mainstreaming education and child protection as outlined by the Humanitarian Principles, the SPHERE Standards.  



RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:




  1. Ensure that programs are meeting the specific needs of students.

  2. Providing the children with non-formal education and activities.

  3. Supervise individual remedial education (home schooling or in public buildings)

  4. Conduct school assessment.

  5. Distribute self-learning materials.

  6. Working all other education Activities including the Literacy class and girls out of School

  7. Alongside working with the Education officers to provide the support with teaching.

  8. Make sure the Child friendly space is suitable for the children to use

  9. Implement children's activities and engage in the international children/Education events

  10. Working on the CP/Education awareness

  11. Provide CP teacher training and Parenting sessions

  12. Ensure that programs are meeting the specific needs of students.



Communications




  1. Regulate communication and cooperation with beneficiary parents and schools administrations and teachers.

  2. Act and communicate in a professional manner with beneficiaries ,partners and stakeholders

  3. Participate in wider meetings and seminars as and when requested by The Line Manager.



Reporting:




  1. Prepare and send the weekly report and monthly report  in the timely manner 

  2. Conduct surveys and monitoring evaluations when required in collaboration with the line manager.



QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE/TECHNICAL SKILLS:



Required:




  1. A bachelor's degree in a related field, such as psychology, sociology, education, or guidance and counseling

  2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  3. Experience in program development and facilitation or training

  4. Knowledge of current educational and psychological trends

  5. Empathy, patience, and the ability to inspire and motivate people
