Role Description

• This is a contract role for a Civil Engineer at Foundation and Earthworks Company Limited in Lagos. The Civil Engineer will be responsible for civil engineering design, planning, supervising, management, and overseeing civil engineering projects on-site in Lagos.

Important Duties

• Project Design and Development: Produce comprehensive engineering plans for road buildings, Piling, sewage and drainage, earthworks and other infrastructure. Create and evaluate project plans using CAD software and additional resources.


• Site Analysis: To ascertain the viability of a project and its potential effects on the environment, conduct site surveys and assessments. Examine information from geotechnical reports,


• topographical surveys, and maps.


• Construction Oversight: Keep an eye on construction sites to make sure that work is done according to schedules, safety regulations, and design specifications.


• Budgeting and Cost Estimation: Create project budgets, material requirements, and cost estimates. Keep an eye on spending to make sure projects don’t go over budget.


• Regulatory Compliance: Verify that projects adhere to all applicable local, state, and federal laws, particularly those pertaining to safety and the environment.


• Cooperation: To guarantee project success, cooperate with architects, contractors, governmental organizations, and other stakeholders

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering Design and Civil Engineering skills


• Experience in Planning and Stormwater Management


• Knowledge of Civil Engineers' responsibilities


• Excellent project management skills


• Strong problem-solving abilities


• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field


• Experience in Quantity Surveying
