MAIN JOB DESCRIPTION



Plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our fast-paced power service business. You will be responsible for overseeing all operational activities to meet customer needs and uphold our commitment to excellence. 



GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES




  • Oversee all operational activities to ensure smooth and efficient business operations

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, customer service, and engineering, to understand customer requirements and deliver exceptional service. 

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and transportation partners to ensure timely and reliable delivery of equipment and spare parts.

  • Monitor industry trends developments to identify opportunities for process improvement and operational enhancements

  • Stay updated on relevant regulations and compliance requirements related to operations in the power solutions industry

  • Provide regular reports and analysis on key performance metrics to management, highlighting areas for improvement and recommending strategies for optimization

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability within the team.



CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES



Operation Management:




  • Oversees development, installation, and connection of generator sets by coordinating with on-site engineers. 

  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent and high-quality service delivery.

  • Continuously evaluate operational processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement measures to enhance efficiency

  • Monitor and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to operations, such as on-time delivery, equipment utilization, and cost control.



Team Management:




  • Lead and supervise technical personnel and on-site engineers, providing guidance, support, and  training

  • Foster a positive work environment, promote teamwork and professional development

  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for growth.

  • Ensure adequate staffing levels and allocate resources effectively to meet operational demands.



Customer Service:




  • Collaborate closely with sales and customer service teams to understand customer requirements and expectations.

  • Ensure effective communications with customers regarding delivery schedules, installation procedures, and operational issues

  • Resolve customer complaints or concerns in a timely and satisfactory manner, emphasizing customer satisfaction and loyalty

  • Identify opportunities to enhance the customer experience and provide recommendations for service improvements.



KEY PERFORMANCE INDEX




  • On-time Delivery: Ensure a high percentage of on-time delivery of generator sets to customer sites

  • Equipment Utilization: Optimize the utilization of the rental fleet to maximize revenue generation

  • Inventory Accuracy: Maintain accurate inventory records to ensure availability of equipment and spare parts as needed

  • Cost Control: Monitor and manage logistics and operational costs to achieve budget targets.

  • Customer Satisfaction: Measure customer satisfaction levels through feedback, surveys, and repeat business

  • Service Response Time: Minimize response time for customer inquiries, service request, and issue resolution

  • Operational Efficiency: Continuously improve operational process to enhance efficiency and reduce turnaround times

  • Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations in all logistics and operational activities.

  • Team performance: Evaluate and enhance the performance of the logistics and operations teams based on defined metrics

  • Supplier Performance: Monitor and assess the performance of vendors and suppliers in terms timely delivery and quality of products.



REQUIREMENTS




  • Bachelor’s degree in operations management with a minimum of 5-7 years’ experience, or a related field. Relevant professional certifications will be an added advantage.

  • Proven experience in operations management, preferably in the equipment rental or power solutions industry

  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail

  • Ability to effectively manage a team, delegate tasks, and drive performance.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skill, with the ability to interact with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders

  • Proficient in using inventory management system and MS Office Suite

  • Strong analytical, technical and decision-making abilities to optimize operations and improve efficiency.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
